John Langer

John began his career with the Washington State Department of Highways over 40 years ago and held a variety of positions including survey party chief and inspector specializing in pre-stressed and precast bridge elements. After he left, he spent a number of years in estimating and managing fast-track construction projects.  John is active in SAVE International, and has been a member of PMI and the DRB.  John has conducted seminars in cost analysis and cost avoidance for the AGC and has taught planning and scheduling in-house and for clients, focusing on effective planning and control.



Michael Schneider

Michael Schneider

Mr. Schneider is a licensed architect in Washington, California, and Oregon and has achieved national certification with NCARB.  He is a LEED Accredited Professional with the United States Green Building Council.  During his over 30 year career, he has been a consultant to the building and real estate investment community, providing design, construction project management, technical representation, and property transfer risk assessment on a wide variety of projects throughout the United States.  His experiences have been characterized by increased responsibility for both the technical aspects of design and construction, as well as the administrative aspects of managing and developing successful consulting enterprises.

Ron’s past experience includes work as an industrial manager for an electrical contracting firm and project engineering for the Weyerhaeuser Company, Tacoma City Light, and the Boeing Company. He has personally been doing electrical estimating for over 30 years in the construction and consulting field. He is competent with both McCormick and ALEC Estimating Systems.

John Maki has 34 years of construction experience including civil, structural, architectural, electrical and mechanical estimating.  He is proficient in all estimating activities including quantity takeoffs, unit price estimates, price solicitation, value engineering, change order evaluation, conceptual estimating and bid cost analysis.  He has prepared many Independent Cost Estimates to help in the negotiation of change orders and has also participated as the estimator on over 80 value engineering studies and 30 constructability studies. Has created many estimates using of Win-Est, MC2 and Success estimating software or custom Excel formats.

Mike graduated from Washington State University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Arts & Communications and a minor focus in Management Information Systems (MIS). Over several projects he has learned the value of organized asset management and efficient workflow. This ability has been very useful in his current role as an independent contractor specializing in the rapid prototyping and construction of business-ready websites under tight schedule. In his recent role of project technical consultant, he has employed various multimedia tools and platforms to coordinate the efforts of cross functional teams ensuring they remain informed and updated on changing project requirements.
